Project Description

The game was created in 2023 Portfolio Jam and got 1st in the Arcade Game category.

Simple arcade game, with levels in a theme based on the seasons.

I am mainly working the part on game design, level design, and providing sound effects & music

Level Design 1

The level map is in 31x32 Tiles.

S: Player spawning point
Black Dot: Enemies spawning point
White Dot: Pickups (Object for the score)

The final design for the level. Trying to design symmetrically.

Since the game employs a gravity system, all characters will continuously fall, which requires careful consideration of the platform's position to allow for safe landings. In particular, enemies will move along the platforms and fall off the edge, so the platforms should not be too short. Conversely, for the player character to successfully jump upward, the distance between upper platforms should take into account the character's jump height.

Reason for not using:
The platform is too short, hard for the enemies to land, hard for the player character to jump
